Local Area The Weymouth Beach and Promenade are only a five minute walk away with the Town Centre and all its Restaurants, Bars and Attractions is a fifteen minute stroll along the picturesque Seafront. Nearby Restaurants are Westers Bistro (Traditional), The Acropolis (Greek), Hamiltons (Traditional), Enzo's (Italian) and The Sea Palace (Chinese). Along with a number of Pubs serving traditional Bar Food there is a wide selection of cuisine locally.
Angling and Diving
Ashmira caters for Divers and Anglers visiting the area. We have deep freezers for your catch and secure storage for equipment. Early breakfasts and packed lunches are available by prior arrangement.
Sailing
With the opening of the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy and the prospect of Weymouth and Portland holding the Sailing events for the 2012 Olympics, global interest is focused upon the area.
Many other Sailing and Windsurfing events are staged locally, attracted by the relatively calm waters of Weymouth Bay and Portland Harbour, both of which are sheltered by the Portland Peninsula (depending on wind direction).
Weymouth is one of the top venues on the south coast for Sailing, Diving and Fishing.
